If an invoice on your account goes unpaid, Beamer restricts parts of your account until the payment clears. Your widget keeps running the whole time, so your end users are unaffected.
The first 14 days
Nothing is restricted. You'll get email reminders and see a banner in the app telling you a payment is overdue and pointing you to your billing page. You can keep working normally.
From day 14: your account is restricted
After 14 days, a notice appears that you can't dismiss, and you can no longer make changes in the affected area.
What that means in practice:
You can still sign in, move around the app, and look at everything.
You can't publish, edit, or change anything for the subscription that's overdue.
Your widget keeps working. Your existing posts carry on reaching your users exactly as before.
Only the overdue subscription is affected. If your Changelog subscription is overdue, Feedback and NPS keep working normally.
Pay the invoice and the restriction lifts on its own, straight away. You don't need to contact us.
How to tell this is what's happening
A billing restriction doesn't always look like a billing problem. What you'll see:
Something you could edit yesterday can't be saved or moved today.
The action fails without a clear reason, or looks like a permissions error.
Nothing changed about your role or your team settings.
If that matches, check Settings > Billing before you check Settings > Team. Team permissions are a separate system and won't be the cause.
After 30 days
If the invoice is still unpaid after 30 days, we close the subscription and move the account to the Free plan. Your content stays — nothing is deleted — but paid features are no longer available, and your widget is subject to the Free plan's limits from that point on.
You can resubscribe yourself whenever you're ready. It starts as a new subscription rather than picking up where the old one left off.
How to clear an overdue invoice
Go to Settings > Billing and find the outstanding invoice. Overdue invoices are marked, with a link to pay.
Check the card on file. An expired or declined card is the usual reason a payment didn't go through. See How to set or change a payment method.
Update the payment method if you need to, and pay the invoice.
Still restricted after paying
Contact our support team with your Product ID, shown in the top bar of your dashboard, and the date the payment went through.

Can I cancel my subscription?
This is not the same as going over your MAU limit. Exceeding your Monthly Active User allowance is billed as overage and doesn't restrict your account. See How are Monthly Active Users calculated?
