Pin or unpin a post

Prev Next

A pinned post is displayed at the top of your changelog feed. You can only pin one post at a time, as it is meant to highlight the most important post. You can pin a post while editing a post or from the Changelog dashboard if the post has already been created.

Benefits of pinning a post

Pinning a post in your Beamer changelog feed ensures that a specific update remains at the very top of your feed, making it the first thing users see when they check your updates. This offers several important benefits:

  • Maximum Visibility: The pinned post is always prominently displayed, ensuring critical updates, feature launches, or urgent announcements are not buried by newer posts. This is especially useful for updates that require user action or ongoing attention.

  • Highlight Key Information: You can use the pin feature to draw attention to posts that are most relevant to your users, such as onboarding tips, major product changes, or compliance notices.

  • Improved User Engagement: By keeping important information front and center, you increase the likelihood that users will read and interact with your most valuable updates, which can help drive adoption of new features or processes.

  • Efficient Communication: Pinning helps streamline communication by ensuring all users see the same prioritized message, reducing confusion and support requests about recent or important changes.
