Pinning the topbar in Beamer

Prev Next

Topbar mode is a simple way to make your announcements prominent without being intrusive. The topbar is a bar that slides in from the top of the screen. These are ideal for direct, short announcements that catch attention.

When a new topbar post is published, the newly created post will take priority and display first, temporarily replacing the pinned topbar. Once the new post has been shown and dismissed or its display duration has ended, the pinned topbar will automatically reappear at the top of the screen.

Benefits

  • High Visibility: The topbar appears at the very top of your website or app, making your announcement "impossible to miss" for users as soon as they visit.

  • Non-Intrusive Experience: Unlike pop-ups, the topbar does not disrupt the user’s workflow or block content, providing a direct and straightforward way to communicate updates without annoying users.

  • Customizable: You can match the topbar’s color to your brand and link it to any content, allowing for both branding consistency and flexibility in directing users to more information.

  • Effective for Critical Updates: Due to its prominence, the top bar is ideal for urgent announcements, important product changes, or promotional messages that require immediate attention.

  • Easy to Manage: You can pin a topbar to keep a specific message visible. When a new topbar post is published, it temporarily takes priority before reverting to the pinned message.
