Managing teams
For more about how to manage your team members, refer to How to invite team members, and How to delete a team member.
What are roles and permissions?
In Beamer you can collaborate as a team with multiple users in a single account. Each team member has a role, and each role has multiple permissions.
Roles. Roles are profiles that include a series of permissions. All users have an assigned role.
Permissions. Permissions define the ability to perform certain actions or use specific features. You can enable or disable permissions for each role.
To manage your team go to Settings and then to Team. Manage your team now!
How to manage and assign roles
When inviting a team member
Select Settings > Team from the sidebar, enter an email address and select a role for that user from the dropdown menu.

Enabling individual permissions
Within each role, you can enable or disable specific permissions. Some permissions provide the ability to edit, delete, or manage specific elements while other permissions provide access to specific components of Beamer - for example, NPS, API, Inbox, etc.
In each role, you can modify permissions for:
Create posts; Publish posts; Edit posts; Delete posts; Archive posts
Manage team; Manage roles
Edit product info
Edit appearance; Edit CSS
Edit languages
Manage billing
Analytics; Embed; Feedback
Users / Segmentation
NPS (if enabled)

Appearance and CSS: plan requirements
The Edit appearance and Edit CSS permissions above control which roles can change these settings. Separately, the features themselves are gated by your Beamer plan:
Appearance customization is available on Starter plans and above.
Custom CSS is available on Pro plans and above.
This means a role can have the Edit CSS permission enabled and still not see the option if the account isn’t on a Pro plan — the plan requirement applies on top of the role permission.
