Performing bulk actions on Ideas

Bulk Actions

You can perform bulk actions from the Ideas dashboard to streamline updates for multiple ideas at once.

Single vs. Bulk Actions

Most bulk actions described in this article can also be performed on single Ideas. To take action on a single Idea, use the action icons to the right of the Idea on the Ideas dashboard.

1. Select Beamer Feedback from the sidebar.

2. Select multiple ideas for which you want to take action. The Actions options will appear at the top.
   

3. Follow the instructions below for each action as described.

Edit visibility

1. With multiple ideas selected, click the Edit Visibility icon.
   

2. Click Public or Internal.
   

3. Click Accept to confirm the changes.
   

Merge similar requests

Customers frequently ask for similar features. While this is great for validation, you may want to group them together for easier analysis. When you merge ideas, you can select one or more ideas and merge them into another existing idea. This will remove the selected ideas and add the vote count (if any) to the existing idea

1. With multiple ideas selected, click the Merge icon.
   

2. Select the original idea from the drop-down menu that the selected ideas will be merged into, and click Merge.
   

Warning

Idea descriptions from the merged ideas are not transferred into the primary (original) idea. Be sure to take note of any important notations before merging.

Note: Once merged, all the votes from similar Ideas will be merged to the original. This way, you will have a clear view of the most requested Ideas.

Update Idea status

You can update the status of multiple Ideas at once.

1. With multiple ideas selected, click the Update status icon.
   

2. Select the status from the drop-down menu and click Update.
   

Archive or Unarchive Ideas

1. With multiple ideas selected, click the Archive or Unarchive icon.
   

2. Click Archive.
   
   

   Unarchiving

   To unarchive Ideas, first select Archived Ideas from the sidebar, then select Ideas and perform these steps. Click Unarchive to return the Ideas to the main dashboard.

3. Click Accept to confirm.
   

Delete Ideas

1. With multiple Ideas selected, click the Delete icon.
   

2. Click Accept to confirm the deletion.
   

Warning

Once Ideas are deleted, they cannot be undeleted.
