The Userflow Chrome Extension is a browser add-on that allows you to preview Flows and other experiences you build in Userflow before they go live in your app and troubleshoot using our Debugger tool.
Preview Flows in draft
You can preview Flows (e.g., product tours, modals, tooltips, etc.) directly in your app before installing the Userflow JavaScript snippet (Userflow.js) or publishing changes.
Previewing lets you see how a Flow will behave in context, helping catch UI or timing issues early.
Debug and troubleshoot
The extension includes the Userflow Debugger, a tool that shows why a particular Flow starts or doesn’t start.
The Debugger is especially helpful for diagnosing targeting rules or trigger conditions that don’t behave as expected.
Permissions
To work correctly, the extension often needs your permission to read and modify site data on all sites you’re testing or on specific domains (such as your app). If it doesn’t have access, preview, and element selection can fail until you adjust these permissions.
Adding the Chrome Extension
Access and add the Userflow Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store.
