Two-factor authentication (2FA): set up, reset, or turn off

Prev Next

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step when you sign in to Userflow: as well as your password, you enter a code. 2FA belongs to your Userflow login, not to a single company, so it applies wherever you sign in.

Turn on 2FA for your account

  1. Go to Settings → My account.

  2. Turn on Require two-factor authentication when I sign in.

  3. Follow the steps on screen to finish setting it up.

You'll get an email confirming that 2FA is now on.

When your company requires 2FA

A company can require 2FA for all of its members. If yours does, Userflow asks you to set it up the next time you open that company.

Lost your phone, or can't get a code?

If you can't get a code, you can't turn 2FA off yourself, because that needs you to sign in first. This also applies if you've moved to a new phone.

  1. Email support@userflow.com from the email address on your Userflow account.

  2. CC your company's account owner.

  3. Support turns 2FA off for your account and lets you know.

  4. Sign in with your password, then set up 2FA again.

Resetting 2FA for a teammate

There's no setting to reset a teammate's 2FA from your side. Ask them to email support@userflow.com with the account owner in CC, or send the request yourself on their behalf with the account owner in CC.
