Making an Idea or Comment visible to only a selected set of users

You have the ability to determine if an Idea is displayed in the Idea Portal and Public Roadmap or if it is restricted to internal visibility only. Some organizations opt to conceal specific Ideas to preserve a strategic edge over competitors or to engage with customers in a private manner.

Edit Idea visibility

  1. Select Beamer Feedback from the sidebar to view the Idea dashboard.

  2. Single idea: click the visibility icon (the eye) to the left of the Idea
    Multiple ideas: select multiple ideas and click the visibility icon (the eye) in the Actions at the top.

  3. Click Accept to confirm.

Edit Comment visibility

From within an Idea

  1. Select Beamer Feedback from the sidebar and click the title of the Idea you want to edit.

  2. Scroll to the comments at the bottom and hover your cursor over the comment you want to edit until you see the action icons appear to the right.

  3. Click the Visibility icon (the eye) and click Accept to confirm.

From the Inbox

  1. Select Inbox > Comments or Idea comments from the sidebar.

  2. Click Set to internal or Set to public.

  3. Click Accept to confirm.

Filter Idea view by visibility

You can filter your Ideas by visibility in the dashboard by selecting Public or Internal in the Feedback filter options.
