AI Skills Library

Skills are short instruction files you add to your AI tool once. After that, when you ask for something a skill covers, your AI tool follows the steps in that skill instead of working it out from scratch—so you get the same result each time, in the same shape.

The skills below are built and maintained by Userflow. Some read your data and report on it. Others build things in your account. All of them need the Userflow MCP connected first: the skill is the instructions, and the MCP is the connection. For background on what the MCP can now build, see Introducing MCP Write Tools on the blog.

Adding a skill

You'll need the Userflow MCP connected, and code execution and file creation turned on in your AI tool.

  1. Download the skill from its page below. It comes as a ZIP file.

  2. In Claude, open Settings → Capabilities → Skills and upload the ZIP. Don't unzip it first.

  3. Start a new conversation and describe what you want. You don't need to name the skill—your AI tool picks it up from what you're asking for.

Skills you add are yours alone. If you're on a Team or Enterprise plan and want one available to everyone, an owner can add it once for the whole organization. Anthropic's guide to using skills in Claude covers both.

Using a tool other than Claude

Skills use an open format, so the same file works elsewhere. What changes is how you install it.

Unzip the download first. Inside is a folder holding SKILL.md, plus a reference folder for some skills. Keep the folder together rather than pulling files out of it.

  • ChatGPT: skills are available on Business, Enterprise, Healthcare, and Edu workspaces. Install the unzipped folder from the Skills section. On Plus there's no skills installer, so add the files to a Project's knowledge and work inside that project.

  • Codex CLI: move the folder into ~/.codex/skills.

  • Claude Code: move the folder into ~/.claude/skills.

  • Other agents: check where your tool looks for skills and put the folder there.

Whichever tool you use, the skill needs the Userflow MCP connected in that tool. Without it there's nothing for the skill to read.

What to expect from a skill

Every skill here works the same way: it walks you through the job one step at a time and stops to check with you before doing anything that matters. You'll be asked to confirm the details before anything is created, and nothing is ever published without you saying so.

If your account has more than one environment, the skill will ask which one you're working in before it pulls data or creates anything.

Skills that report on your data

These read your Userflow data and hand back something to read or share. They don't change anything in your account.

  • userflow-flow-compare—put two pieces of published content side by side: views, completions, completion rate, step-by-step drop-off, missing element errors, and trends over time.

  • userflow-flow-segment-compare—see how one piece of content performs across several audiences at once, as a comparison table plus trend charts.

  • userflow-nps-summariser—group the comments from an NPS survey into positive and negative themes, with every respondent's comment and score behind them.

  • userflow-adoption-agent-topics—find out what people actually asked your Adoption Agent, split into what it couldn't answer, what got a thumbs-down, and what came up most.

Skills that build things

These create something in your Userflow account. Announcements and banners come back as unpublished drafts for you to review—see Creating and publishing with MCP write tools.

  • userflow-segment-creator—build a segment by describing the audience in plain language, with the conditions shown to you before anything is created.

  • userflow-banner-creator—turn a summary, a linked doc or ticket, or pasted content into a banner draft, including placement, behavior, and an optional button.

  • userflow-announcement-creator—the same for announcements, including how prominent it should be and who sees it.

Getting Userflow installed

  • Install with AI—get Userflow.js onto your site with your AI tool's help. Lives with the rest of the installation guides.
