Inserting a step between existing steps

When you build a flow and need to add a step between two existing steps, Userflow’s Flow Builder offers two simple approaches.

Method 1: The Quick Method

  1. Select the first step: Click on the step that should come before your new step.

  2. Access the existing action: Click on the step's current "Go-to-step" action button.

  3. Add your new step: From the menu, select Add new step. The new step will automatically appear right after the first step.

  4. Connect the flow: The first step now automatically links to your new step. Add a button to the new step and connect it to the third step to complete the sequence. The drag-and-drop way

Method 2: The Drag-and-Drop Method

  1. Create a new step: Click the  Add Step button in the far-right panel of the Flow Builder. You may need to scroll horizontally to find it.

  2. Position the step:  Drag the new step to the exact position between your existing steps.

  3. Update the connections:  Click the link port (connection point) in the first step, then click your new step to redirect the flow.

  4. Complete the sequence: Add a button to your new step and link it to the third step in your flow.

Both methods accomplish the same goal. Choose the method that works best for your workflow.
